Some introductions are meant to be read...Farzand-e-Pakistan is the first published novel of Hazrat Pir Ilahi Bakhsh Quadri Qadri, one of the most important scholars and founders of Khoja Shia Ithna Asheri Sect. The book contains all the information about our Muslim culture. This library is a classic example that proved that Hazrat Pir wanted to showcase Pakistan’s glorious past with reverence and pride, not just ours but also that of India, Iran, Africa and Arab countries. He has documented their history with respect to their religion i. e. Islam. He has all the respect for other religions as well
The first edition of Farzand-e-Pakistan was published in 1925 from Bombay, India. In it he documented all the facts about different races living in Pakistan, their customs and traditions with facts and figures. In the first pages of the book, he has written a letter to his son Abdul Hakeem Quadri explaining his views on Pakistan’s independence and why he wanted to see a separate homeland for Muslims.
In 1927 Imam-ul-Haq made a new edition of Farzand-e-Pakistan by adding some more facts and figures related to Pakistan. He named it "Farzand-e-Pakistan II".
The excellence of the book is that Hazrat Pir not only documented Pakistan’s glorious past, in the great detail but also in a precise manner. He has given all the information about Arab states in their alphabetical order. He has even done the same with respect to Iran and India.
On page 196 of Farzand-e-Pakistan version II he has clearly stated that there are total 23 languages in Pakistan, out of which 22 are spoken by Muslims and one is spoken by Hindus.
He divided this section into five parts i. e. (1) Arab (2) Persian (3) Turkey (4) Africa and (5) India. He has given all the facts about Pakistan in the first section and then in the next four parts he has covered all other States. This is a unique experiment by Hazrat Pir to document our country’s past, in such a manner that no one even in future can deny it or distort it. No wonder that Farzand-e-Pakistan version II is published from Karachi by Quadri Book Depot after the creation of Pakistan. Hazrat Qadri has stated on page 247 of Farzand-e-Pakistan II that there are total 11 states in Pakistan, out of which 10 are Muslim and one is Hindu. He is the first person who has detailed this fact.
Hazrat Pir is the first person who has documented the history of Africa in its true light. During his lifetime he gave all the documents to his youngest son Abdul Hakeem Quadri but till now no edition was published after his death. On page 247 of Farzand-e-Pakistan II Hazrat Pir clearly states that there are total 12 states in Pakistan, out of which 10 are Muslim and two are Hindu (India).
